About the Role
The Director, Marketing will drive priorities across Global Patient Solutions (GPS), focusing on the launch execution of lenacapavir for prevention, portfolio life cycle management, and AI transformation. This role involves balancing strategic operational excellence with AI-driven process optimization and leading high-impact strategic projects, requiring strong cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Shape the development and execution of the global marketing and access strategy for Lenacapavir for PrEP.
- Drive launch planning and market development in priority geographies.
- Orchestrate and align cross-functional teams to ensure coordinated execution and strong external engagement.
- Drive strategic stakeholder alignment with governments, global health organisations, and partners.
- Be accountable for post-launch monitoring and performance tracking frameworks.
- Drive the definition and execution of a coherent portfolio strategy aligned with GCSO, Established Products and Growth Products Teams and access priorities.
- Drive assets across all stages—from opportunity identification to exit—driving disciplined stage-gate decisions.
- Continuously optimise in-market assets through pricing, channel strategy, cost efficiency, supply and KPI-driven performance tracking.
- Identify risks, gaps, and external trends to proactively rebalance the portfolio.
- Execute enterprise-wide AI strategy for process mapping, optimisation, and simplification.
- Identify and implement AI and digital use cases to enhance marketing, launch, and operational performance.
- Act as the accountable business owner for translating priorities into scalable AI solutions.
- Partner with relevant functions to deploy AI capabilities within GPS.
- Enable adoption of new tools and ways of working through structured training, feedback loops, and continuous improvement.
- Own KPIs and outcomes, including cycle time reduction, content reuse, and cost efficiency across marketing activities.
- Lead high-impact, enterprise-level strategic projects aligned with GPS priorities.
- Provide senior leadership support to emerging priorities across the organisation.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in strategic marketing, portfolio management, or commercial strategy within pharma/biotech.
- Proven track record in launch excellence and cross-functional project leadership.
- Strong ability to operate in complex, global, matrixed environments, driving alignment across diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI and digital tools to improve processes and decision-making.
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with strong executive communication capability.
- Ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across senior stakeholders.
