About the Role
Join Schneider Electric's Cloud & Service Provider (C&SP) business, a strategic growth pillar within our Secure Power division supporting the world's leading hyperscale, cloud, and colocation customers. As a Senior Tender Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and securing some of Schneider Electric's largest and most strategic data centre and digital infrastructure opportunities across Australia and the wider APAC region. Working at the forefront of the industry's unprecedented growth, you will lead complex bid and tender activities, bringing together technical, commercial, operational, and delivery teams to develop compelling customer solutions. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on high-value, mission-critical infrastructure projects while partnering with Sales, Project Delivery, Engineering, Services, and Business Leaders to drive winning outcomes for some of the world's most recognised technology companies.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end tender and bid management activities for strategic Cloud & Service Provider opportunities, from qualification through to submission and contract award.
- Develop bid strategies that maximise Schneider Electric's competitive position while balancing commercial, operational, and delivery considerations.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across Sales, Engineering, Project Delivery, Services, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, and Operations to deliver high-quality customer proposals.
- Drive bid governance, opportunity reviews, risk assessments, pricing approvals, and executive decision-making throughout the tender lifecycle.
- Partner closely with customers and internal stakeholders to understand requirements, clarify scope, and position Schneider Electric's One Solution value proposition.
- Lead tender planning activities, including bid schedules, resource allocation, responsibilities, and submission milestones.
- Identify commercial, contractual, operational, and delivery risks, developing mitigation strategies that protect Schneider Electric's interests while maintaining competitiveness.
- Prepare and present bid recommendations, commercial strategies, and proposal outcomes to senior leadership and approval committees.
- Support customer negotiations and contract discussions through to project handover and execution.
- Drive continuous improvement across tendering processes, tools, governance, and best practices within the C&SP business.
Requirements
- Significant experience leading complex tenders, bids, proposals, or pursuits within data centres, critical infrastructure, electrical, construction, engineering, energy, or technology sectors.
- Proven ability to manage large, strategic opportunities involving multiple stakeholders, business units, and delivery partners.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in pricing strategy, risk assessment, contract review, and commercial negotiations.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience influencing cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
- Strong project management, organisational, and planning capability with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Experience working within data centre, cloud, hyperscale, colocation, mission-critical infrastructure, or major capital project environments will be highly regarded.
