About the Role
We are seeking a talented Architect to lead aspects of architectural project planning and detailing through all design stages. You will support project documentation, facilitate client and stakeholder meetings, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams. This role requires ensuring work complies with relevant UK codes, standards, and regulations, and participating in QA/QC reviews.
Responsibilities
- Lead aspects of the planning and detailing of architectural projects through all stages of design, under the supervision of a Project Lead/ Project Manager.
- Support the development and maintenance of project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Facilitate and lead owner/clients, internal and stakeholder meetings.
- Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance.
- Coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project’s life cycle, under the supervision of a Project Manager.
- Ensure work complies with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (i.e. UK Building Regulations, Standards and Healthcare Guidance).
- Participate in QA/QC and technical reviews.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
- Registered Architect - ARB.
- A minimum of 3-5 years practical and industry experience in the UK.
- Experience with social infrastructure projects (including health, science and technology, education and community projects) and/or data centre projects.
- Good working knowledge and experience within the UK planning and building regulations systems.
- Passion for creativity and design.
- Excellent collaboration skills, good self-organization, and strong ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effective facilitation with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Knowledge and experience applying relevant codes, standards, and regulations in design and planning.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines.
- Intermediate level knowledge and experience with design software such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office.
- Understanding of computational and parametric design.
- Graphic and visualization skills to communicate design ideas.

- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related field.
- 3+ years’ experience of working with Data Centre projects is desirable.
- Understanding and experience of various building contracts.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project Schedule).
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in use of Autodesk Revit and familiarity with related tools and process.
- Demonstrated graphic presentation skills.
- Must have experience in preparation and layout of architectural contract documents and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of building regulations and good planning skills.
