About the Role

Responsibilities

• End-to-end processing of fortnightly and monthly payroll
• Invoice processing and preparation and posting of employee leave liabilities
• Maintaining payroll records and employee data
• Managing payroll compliance, including STP, PAYG, superannuation and salary packaging
• Processing terminations, leave payouts and payroll adjustments
• Managing relationships with external providers, including salary packaging, superannuation, Services Australia and workers compensation insurers
• Preparing payroll journals, reconciliations and leave liability provisions
• Providing general finance support as required

Requirements

• 3–5 years' experience in Australian payroll and financial accounting
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation and compliance requirements
• Experience managing end-to-end payroll processing
• Excellent reconciliation, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Experience in a not-for-profit organisation with knowledge of salary packaging (Desirable)
• Experience with Workday Payroll and Finance (Desirable)
• Successful applicants will undertake a Working with Children Check and a National Police Check
