Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat malocclusions by examining patients’ dental and skeletal structure to identify alignment issues and develop treatment plans.
  • Design and implement orthodontic treatment using various appliances to correct bite issues, misaligned teeth, and jaw discrepancies.
  • Monitor patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families on maintaining oral health during and after orthodontic treatment.
  • Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and other team members for comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Ensure patient comfort and satisfaction by addressing concerns, answering questions, and providing compassionate care.
  • Stay updated with orthodontic advances through continuing education and training.
  • Handle additional tasks as required, adapting to the changing needs of the practice.

Requirements

  • DDS or DMD degree with specialized training in orthodontics.
  • Valid orthodontic license (state-specific requirements apply).
  • Strong diagnostic and treatment planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
