About the Role

As a Baker at COBS Bread, you will lead our freshness commitment, filling the bakery with artisan bread and delicious treats for the community. We are looking for personable individuals with the right attitude and a willingness to learn, no prior experience necessary.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a small team to bake each morning, following carefully crafted recipes.
• Keep the bakery clean and contribute to a great customer experience.
• Read production schedules and recipes.
• Measure and mix ingredients.
• Mold and shape dough.
• Process items through the ovens.

Requirements

• Must be an early riser.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a small team.
• Pride in COBS offerings to the community.
• Great attitude and good organizational skills.
• Commitment to team, bakery, and personal development.
• Continuous standing/walking for all tasks.
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 22 kg.
• Frequent turning and reaching.
• Occasional pushing, pulling, and some forward bending.
• Ability to lift at least 2.5 kg to a height of 1.7 meters.
• Constant use of both hands, with frequent wrist rotation and flexing.
• Occasional forceful gripping.
