About the Role

Amentum is seeking an HVAC/R Maintenance Technician for their client site in Pearl River, NY. The successful candidate will possess outstanding HVAC skills and a commitment to delivering best-in-class customer service and satisfaction within a 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of industrial or commercial facility HVAC equipment.
• Identify and correct safety-related issues.
• Perform independent equipment evaluations to identify potential equipment failures.
• Operate, maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair ventilation equipment, pumps, fans, chillers, rooftop AHU’s, split systems, compressors, refrigeration, and other mechanical equipment.
• Utilize the building automation system to track building conditions and equipment operation.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC control and operating systems using a CMMS.
• Respond to and provide service and feedback on all work orders, ensuring compliance with codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Follow proper safety guidelines, including job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout, and wearing required PPE.
• Operate measuring, diagnostic, and testing instruments to provide energy efficiency solutions.
• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Maintain a strict schedule.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management or Lead.
• Work in a team environment with a one team mentality, being friendly, respectful, empathetic, and professional.

• Balance workload and multiple tasks with attention to detail and prioritization.
• Take initiative to resolve issues and solve problems independently.

Requirements

• High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience as an HVAC/R maintenance technician in industrial and/or commercial environments or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and air-conditioning skills.
• Ability to work safely with 3-phase power up to and including 480V.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical circuits ranging from 24V AC/DC and up.
• Ability to obtain site-specific security access, including all applicable background checks.
• Ability to work overtime, holidays, various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.
• Ability to obtain an appropriate driver's license.
• Must be a United States citizen or permanent resident.
• This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.
