About the Role

The Application Engineer (AE) is a consultative, pre-sales technical expert supporting electrical consulting firms and key accounts in the commercial market. The AE combines technical knowledge with commercial acumen to effectively position Schneider Electric solutions against competitors, driving specification preference, building strategic relationships, and supporting the sales cycle to secure future business.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and gain acceptance of Schneider Electric products, software, and services.
  • Provide pre-sales application support, solution recommendations, and technical training.
  • Influence project designs to prefer Schneider offerings.
  • Develop and maintain target account lists, plans, and key contact databases through CRM.
  • Build and sustain relationships with decision-makers and designers.
  • Serve as the “voice of the customer” for product development teams.
  • Represent Schneider Electric in local industry groups.

Requirements

  • Strong business development and account planning skills.
  • Experience in electrical power system design, application, or sales.
  • Technical knowledge of industry products, especially Medium Voltage solutions.
  • Awareness of market and industry trends; high curiosity and quick learning ability.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, energy, sustainability, or related fields (preferred).
  • PE license (preferred).

Salary/Compensations

  • $108,000.00- $163,200 per year
