About the Role
The US Open is seeking Seasonal Facility Operations Administrative Assistant team members to play an essential role in the US Open experience. In this role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the maintenance and engineering departments.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist all staff and guests in a welcoming and friendly manner
- Report unattended bags and packages, medical situations, incidents, or emergencies immediately to the command center
- Provide administrative support to the maintenance and engineering departments
- Answer, screen, and direct Facility Operations Department telephone calls
- Keep office and equipment organized
- Responsible for creating and maintaining files, typing, faxing, filing, and other duties as assigned
- Provide all trades and vendors with information necessary to complete tasks at hand
- Receive/enter work order tickets timely and accurately
- Communicate and assist in resolving critical issues with Facility Operations Manager and Senior Director
Requirements
- 1-3 years administrative experience
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel)
- Previous guest or customer service related experience
- Punctual and presentable shift attendance, neatly groomed in a clean, well-maintained uniform
- Available to work for the full duration of the US Open tournament
- Must be able to work 12+ hour shifts and be available days, nights and weekends
- Personable and proactive team player with excellent communication skills
- Remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment as well as during stressful situations
- Computer savvy
- Bilingual Spanish (required)
