About the Role

The Indirect Procurement Coordinator supports the Procurement team in all stages of the procurement process, from planning to implementation, enabling Pernod Ricard to compete successfully. This role collaborates with Procurement, Trade, Marketing, and Sales to support business objectives related to brand activation across Canada. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Indirect Procurement, the coordinator works cross-functionally to drive program execution through effective sourcing and savings, with a focus on retail and on-premise channels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead creative for National Retail Trade Marketing programs.
  • Manage the POS sourcing process in collaboration with Brand, Regional Trade Marketing, and Suppliers.
  • Ensure timely quotations, samples, and approvals with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Source all materials on time and on budget, tracking savings.
  • Manage ordering of tools/materials for Trade Marketing experiential programs, activations, and tastings.
  • Lead and vet all Ad Hoc requirements.
  • Manage shipments into the warehouse and monitor inventory stock levels.
  • Oversee the vendor set up and approval process.
  • Help manage creative deliverables from brand to agency to vendor.
  • Provide support to the Procurement Sr. Manager for global POS reporting in compliance with global S&R standards.
  • Manage menu and bar tool portals with outside agencies.
  • Provide weekly status updates to the Sr. Procurement Manager and stakeholders on pending projects.
  • Work collaboratively with the Procurement Sr. Manager to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Work closely with the National retail tasting agency and regional teams to plan and execute retail tastings.
  • Engage in daily negotiation and communication with vendors on pending projects.
  • Build solid relationships with the warehouse team.
  • Work cohesively with the in-house agency on managing creative deadlines.
  • Assist in budget control and Trade Promotion Management.
  • Issue purchase orders and maintain a filing system for purchase orders, invoices, and other documents.
  • Pull reports.
  • Help solve invoice discrepancies.
  • Provide support to Trade Marketing team members in the implementation and maintenance of the TPM system tool.
  • Document savings across projects.
  • Manage credits with portal agencies.
  • Coordinate details for the Monthly Planning Meeting for the Trade marketing team.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors.
  • Perform data analysis.
  • Provide feedback to District Managers on field inquiries.
  • Approve and monitor warehouse orders from the field to ensure purpose and equal distribution.
  • Manage warehouse purging to keep stock up to date.
  • Track shipments to/from the warehouse.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Marketing within CPG and/or alcohol beverages (Trade Marketing preferred).
  • Budget management experience.
  • Previous brand/event activation experience.
  • Highly organized.
  • Highly computer literate with an excellent understanding of Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Program Management Experience.
