About the Role

The Red Hat Sales team is seeking a Partner Sales Account Manager to drive business growth with Global OEM (GOEM) partners in Japan. This role involves working closely with partners to grow joint business across virtualization, RHEL attach, and emerging AI opportunities, executing partner sales activities, and supporting joint opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Support and drive joint pipeline creation with GOEM partners
  • Execute partner-driven sales activities across virtualization, RHEL attach, and AI-related opportunities
  • Work with partner sales teams to progress deals and improve win rates
  • Maintain and develop relationships with assigned partners
  • Support execution of account plans aligned with Red Hat priorities
  • Facilitate regular engagement with partner stakeholders
  • Support initiatives to increase RHEL attach rate in partner-led deals
  • Help position Red Hat as part of standard configurations in partner offerings
  • Contribute to expanding Red Hat footprint within partner accounts
  • Utilize partner programs (deal registration, incentives, MDF) to support deal progression
  • Ensure smooth coordination between internal teams and partners
  • Identify operational challenges and provide feedback for improvement
  • Actively collaborate with internal stakeholders across sales, technical, and partner teams
  • Share market insights, deal progress, and best practices with team members
  • Support peers and contribute to a team-first culture
  • Support partner readiness in virtualization and infrastructure solutions
  • Assist in partner enablement activities and training coordination
  • Build foundational understanding of AI-related offerings over time

Requirements

  • Experience in enterprise IT sales or partner sales
  • Basic to solid knowledge of virtualization and infrastructure technologies
  • Experience working with OEMs, system integrators, or large IT vendors
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and manage multiple stakeholders
  • Native-level Japanese and workable English for business communication
