About the Role
Advanced Hydration is a dynamic business unit at The Coca‑Cola Company focused on leading the future of hydration with brands like BODYARMOR, Powerade, vitaminwater, and smartwater. The Key Account Manager, South Grocery will lead a cross-functional team to deliver business results across assigned grocery accounts, including HEB and Brookshire's. This role involves leading annual planning, negotiating agreements, resolving complex customer issues, and achieving aggressive business targets to deliver BODYARMOR's annual goals.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the strategic leader for direct customer/business management within the assigned customer channel.
- Develop and execute vision and strategy to support long-term and short-term business objectives.
- Build and create joint business planning models for customers.
- Drive the execution of annual plans across assigned customers and bottlers.
- Deliver key business and financial metrics, including revenue, volume, share, trade spend, and T&E budgets.
- Partner with Sr. Management and cross-functional teams to build Annual Plans.
- Lead annual negotiations to secure optimized partnership agreements.
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing and implementing customer selling stories.
- Provide key insights to achieve execution metrics (Assortment, Shelving, Pricing, Merchandising, Innovation).
- Oversee account updates and performance reporting against key metrics.
- Problem-solve plan gaps and recommend solutions to achieve business objectives.
- Develop and leverage external relationships to optimize BODYARMOR's market positioning.
- Participate in system routines (Customer Core Teams) to provide customer updates and action plans.
- Collaborate with Coca-Cola NAOU + Bottler Customer Leads to maximize customer plans, results, and execution.
- Build and leverage relationships with BODYARMOR and Bottler teams for alignment.
- Provide ongoing updates on customer plan results and opportunities to BODYARMOR management.
- Participate in cross-functional routines to provide plan updates and ensure execution of customer programs.
- Provide customer input for annual Marketing, Commercial, and Innovation plans.
- Leverage cross-functional resources for best-in-class customer capabilities.
- Manage the annual T&E budget for the department.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience required.
- 5 Years National Account management experience required.
- Residence within San Antonio, Dallas, or Houston areas required.
- 30% travel required (local territory and national meetings).
- Experience developing strong collaborative strategic relationships with national retailers.
- Ability to utilize and mine syndicated data to translate into fact-based storytelling.
- Must be self-motivated, highly organized, and results-oriented with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Ability to quickly assess business needs, develop action plans, and manage change.
- Ability to effectively interact with a wide variety of business professionals.
- Passion for building brands, new products, and long-term growth.
- Verifiable list of current contacts with appropriate buyers & divisional managers.
- Solid computer skills in Outlook, Power Point, Excel, and Word.
- Strong understanding and analytical skills in Nielsen/IRI syndicated data.
- Must hold and maintain a valid driver's license and be able to drive long distances.
- Motor Vehicle Records must satisfy Company standards per Driving Policy.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and must not require The Coca-Cola Company's sponsorship.
