About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Administrator to join our team. This role is responsible for processing payroll accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and company payroll regulations. The Payroll Administrator will work closely with Human Resources, Finance, Operations, and employees to support payroll-related functions and resolve payroll inquiries. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of payroll experience, strong attention to detail, and experience working in a manufacturing environment where managing varying schedules, shift differentials, overtime, and timekeeping systems is common.

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
  • Review, audit, and validate employee timecards, attendance records, overtime, and shift differentials.
  • Ensure payroll is processed accurately and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain employee payroll records, including wage changes, deductions, direct deposits, and tax information.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, timekeeping issues, and employee payroll inquiries.
  • Collaborate with HR and Operations to ensure accurate employee data and payroll changes.
  • Reconcile payroll reports and assist with payroll-related audits.
  • Process garnishments, child support orders, benefit deductions, and other payroll adjustments.
  • Prepare payroll reports for management, finance, and compliance purposes.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee payroll and personnel information.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
  • Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and payroll audits.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of payroll administration experience.
  • Experience processing payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
  • Strong understanding of payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, and payroll best practices.
  • Proficiency with payroll software and timekeeping systems.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data entry, reporting, and basic analysis.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict payroll deadlines.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.
