About the Role

ITT Enidine is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join their supply chain team in Orchard Park, NY. This role involves participating in and leading Material Review Board (MRB) activities, managing supplier performance, conducting source inspections and audits, and overseeing new product introduction (NPI) verification. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree and over two years of supplier quality experience within a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

  • Participate and/or lead Material Review Board (MRB) activities, including investigating supplier NCRs, notifying suppliers, and managing corrective actions.
  • Coordinate supplier notification and return-to-vendor activities.
  • Review supplier requests for deviation and direct review with other core functions.
  • Manage Approved Supplier List (ASL) for assigned suppliers, performing on-site assessments and audits as required by QMS and AS9100.
  • Support onboarding, development, cost recovery, and performance improvement initiatives for suppliers.
  • Facilitate the flow-down of customer-specific requirements to suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance via scorecards and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.
  • Perform source inspection and NPI verification activities.
  • Review First Article Inspection (FAI) submissions and drive receiving inspection plans.
  • Submit and/or review Engineering Change Orders (ECO) and support purchasing with change management.

Requirements

  • BS/BT with 3 years of experience.
  • Experience with ISO9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of First Article Inspections per AS9102.
  • Experience in an OEM aerospace manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with source/quality inspection and measurement equipment (surface plates, height gages, micrometers, gage blocks, CMM equipment, optical comparator, vision systems).
  • Experience with formal problem-solving tools.
  • Knowledge of change management processes and strategies.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regionally for Supplier Quality visits.
  • MS Office proficiency.
  • Data capture and analysis experience.
  • Must be a U.S. person (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee or Refugee) due to ITAR regulations.

Skills

  • Technical experience, qualifications, certifications, training & skills a plus.
  • Metallurgy, industrial chemistry, processing knowledge, metrology, GD&T, machining, Elastomeric & ITT Enidine related products.
  • Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) – PPAP: Control Plans, PFMEA, GR&R, MSA; Risk Assessment & risk-mitigation tools.
  • Experience with Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing methodology, including certifications or project experience.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate well with others.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to foster supplier partnerships.
