About the Role
The Solutions Manager – Portfolio Solutions is responsible for leading and coordinating the development of winning solutions for prospective clients across Lease Administration, Consulting, Transaction Management, Leasing Advisory, and Brokerage. This includes ownership of the organization staffing model, identifying savings and improvement plans, technology solutioning, ensuring team delivery, and financial analysis to demonstrate client value.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the development of winning solutions for prospective clients.
- Own and develop the organization staffing model.
- Identify detailed savings and improvement plans.

- Conduct financial analysis to demonstrate client value proposition.
- Partner with sales leaders, functional subject matter experts, and marketing to create tailored solutions.
- Coordinate the development of clear, articulate, and winning value propositions.
- Assist in the development of the overall solutioning process for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participate in the Solutions Team for exchange of best practices and creative solutions.
- Partner with Portfolio Service Line leaders and top professionals to act as a single point of contact from the Sales team.
- Ensure high collaboration and understanding across sales of each service line offering, value proposition, resourcing, and pricing.
- Improve win rate, profitability, and reduce risk in deals.
- Lead through influence, not direct management.
- Demonstrate ability to partner with internal Subject Matter Experts.
- Work in a high-pressure environment and make quick decisions.
- Build successful relationships and respond to different personality types.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the competitive environment and articulate the firm's value proposition.
- Exhibit managerial courage to share unpopular positions when appropriate.
- Accountability and ownership for the process and coordination of overall product and components.
- Maximize the firm's internal network to support creative and customized solutions.
- Own deliverables key for bid success and assist Sales Leads in converting solutions into profitable accounts.
- Conduct integrated data gathering including leasing transaction data and market intelligence.
- Participate in client-facing meetings to diagnose client needs and customize findings.
- Coordinate resources across geographies to ensure quality of proposed service offering.
- Perform portfolio cost modeling.
- Develop financial pricing models incorporating leasing advisory services and transaction projections.
- Propose team structure to ensure success.
- Clarify scope with Sales leads, SMEs, solutions teammates, and clients.
- Document assumptions, risks, and risk mitigation.
- Create compelling work products from data and present them to clients.
- Communicate with the transition team and account management for operational handoff.
- Listen, articulate back what was heard, and mold into a solution.
- Articulate and present account team, solution structure, delivery approach, and maintenance strategy.
- Present in front of different client types with flexibility in presentation style.
- Receive constructive and critical feedback during presentations and role-playing.
- Ensure best solutions, practices, value proposition, and pricing are applied to every deal.
- Design solutions based on client needs, with a strong grasp of real estate outsourcing and leasing advisory models.
- Help identify additional potential sales or growth opportunities during the RFP process.
- Act as Proforma owner during negotiations to validate scope and price changes on P&L.
- Partner with sales lead and team members to ensure pricing and bid details are in the final MSA.
- Develop benchmarks and analytics to support estimating and pricing when scope is lacking.
- Identify financial or delivery risks for JLL, including completing internal profitability analysis.
- Create, understand, and articulate a value proposition impact.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills, detail focus, and tenacious follow-up.
- Prioritize competing priorities effectively.
- Manage projects and processes efficiently.
- Drive output from multiple and diverse disciplines and team members.
- Ensure Sales is leveraging internal best practices and tools on every deal.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 10+ years of JLL or industry related experience required.
- Proven track record in leadership or complex roles.
- Strong background in Operations (on account), ideally depth in TM Brokerage, Leasing Advisory, or Portfolio related services.
- Strong leadership and organization skills.
- Strong writing skills including the ability to communicate the complete holistic solution in a clear and concise detailed narrative and executive summary.
- Excellent communication (oral, written and presentation) and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment and with competing priorities.
- Ability to relate well to all levels, establish confidence and trust.
- Ability to lead development of creative or unique solutions, thinking beyond established methods.
