Responsibilities
- Ensure CI/CD design and engineering processes adhere to standards, have defined process controls, and deliver a compliance reporting model.
- Actively participate in the Platform Engineering Community of Practice (CoP).
- Collaborate with engineers to streamline environment management through automation capabilities like CI/CD.
- Assist in implementing accelerated delivery, including service management of CI/CD tools, writing standardized configuration management scripts, and automating environment provisioning workflows.
- Become an SME of SDLC toolsets and processes, focusing on continuous improvement in agility, quality, and process/tooling maturity.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Infrastructure teams to drive automation in environment setup, configuration, and operation across the technology stack.
- Partner with test automation and release management to embed best practices into the CI/CD process.
- Ensure major software development milestones align with the environment strategy.
- Communicate effectively across teams and assist in motivating the team.
Requirements
- Experience delivering major programs of work in a complex, agile environment.
- Experience with and delivery of enterprise CI/CD capabilities and tools, providing guidance on best practices.
- Demonstrated experience in a Senior Cloud Engineering role across public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud engineering principles with design and development experience in GCP, AWS, or VMware.
- Experience running multi-cloud environments with a strong understanding of multitenancy and security implications.
- Knowledge and experience with IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS concepts.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure automation at scale.
- Experience with cloud deployment and orchestration technologies, including service discovery, deployment, monitoring, scheduling, and load balancing.
- Knowledge of containerization concepts and implementation considerations.
- Experience with complex data structures and semi-structured data (JSON, XML).
- Experience with Design Governance, managing the end-to-end software design process.
- Work experience in highly regulated environments with significant compliance and audit activities.
- Working in a cross-functional, agile delivery team.
- Experience working with Java8+.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GoCD, GitLab, Cloud Build, or Code Build.
- Experience in developing Data APIs (REST, GraphQL, gRPC).
- Experience in building and working with Docker container-based services or other CnRE.
- Understand challenges and tradeoffs in building, deploying, and running solutions in different environments.
- Legally authorized to work in Australia on a permanent basis without restrictions.
