About the Role

We are seeking a highly capable Software Development Engineer to design and deliver modern, scalable, and secure software solutions for complex mission needs. This role is ideal for an engineer who is comfortable working across distributed systems, contemporary architectures, and high‑performance codebases while using AI‑assisted development tools such as Claude Code and AI agents to accelerate design, implementation, and testing.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure software components within a larger system architecture.
Use Claude Code, AI agents, and other AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, testing, refactoring, and documentation.
Collaborate with product owners, systems engineers, and developers to turn requirements into technical designs and working software.
Develop clean, well‑structured APIs and system integration points supporting distributed interoperability.
Participate in code reviews, write automated tests, and enforce code quality using solid engineering discipline.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues across components, environments, and pipelines; drive problems to resolution.
Contribute to lifecycle documentation, including design docs, interface definitions, and deployment instructions.
Work within DevSecOps workflows, supporting CI/CD automation, containerized deployments, and configuration management.

Requirements

U.S. Citizen, and the ability to obtain and hold a DoD security clearance
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related STEM field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of professional software engineering experience supporting complex systems.
