About the Role

The Quality Inspector supports quality assurance by performing inspections, verifying documentation, and processing products according to customer and company requirements. This role ensures materials and documentation move efficiently through the quality process, supporting compliance and product integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Perform product and data receiving to verify conformance to purchase order requirements.
  • Conduct external visual inspections using a low power microscope.
  • Review test data to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Document nonconforming material and prepare data for MRB review.
  • Complete pertinent documentation, including work orders, inspection reports, and corrective action databases.
  • Log completed jobs in the ERP system and manage associated paperwork.
  • Prepare completed products and data for shipment.
  • Maintain and update product and data inventory.
  • Assess customer returned material (RMA) and provide feedback for disposition.
  • Address inspection status inquiries from sales or customers.
  • Carry out duties safely and responsibly, adhering to safety procedures.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-3 years of related experience and/or training.
  • Minimum of 2 years of aerospace, manufacturing, or test laboratory experience as an inspector.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to apply a general understanding to carry out detailed, written, and oral instructions.
  • Ability to solve problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to perform inspection and handle electronic components under a microscope.
  • Familiarity with proper ESD handling procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, product specifications, and work orders.
  • Proficient knowledge of computers and Microsoft Suite.
  • Ability to sit for 4-6 hours a day.
  • Ability to inspect products under 10X to 20X microscope magnification daily.
  • Ability to work with hands and arms with extreme accuracy.
  • Ability to walk and sit on a regular basis.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds occasionally.
