About the Role
The Director of Development & Programs is a key leadership position responsible for driving sponsorship revenue, strengthening community partnerships, overseeing Foundation programs and events, and supporting the Foundation's long-term growth. This role provides both strategic leadership and hands-on execution while leading the Development Coordinator. Responsibilities
- Lead sponsorship development and corporate partnership efforts to generate revenue and expand community support.
- Build and maintain relationships with sponsors, donors, program participants, community leaders, and strategic partners.
- Oversee the planning and execution of Foundation programs, educational initiatives, and signature events.
- Supervise, coach, and develop the Development Coordinator.
- Ensure sponsor fulfillment and program deliverables are completed with excellence.
- Manage Foundation communications, including social media and marketing content that supports programs and events.
- Support the Executive Director in developing and expanding Foundation programs and initiatives.
- Monitor program performance, budgets, and key metrics to support informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director to implement strategic initiatives and organizational priorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Five or more years of experience in fundraising, sponsorship development, business development, nonprofit leadership, or a related field.
- Leadership experience with responsibility for supervising and developing employees.
- Experience managing events, programs, corporate partnerships, or community engagement initiatives.
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills.
- Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and digital collaboration tools.
- Ability to travel occasionally throughout Texas.
