About the Role

Microsoft believes AI startups and scaleups will shape the next generation of innovation. This role will identify, engage, and grow relationships with high-growth companies, driving Azure and AI adoption, and partnering with executive leadership to accelerate their growth on Microsoft technology. You will operate in an entrepreneurial environment, combining the agility of a startup with the scale of Microsoft.

Responsibilities

Lead and orchestrate One Microsoft team efforts to drive growth with startups and unicorns on the Microsoft Cloud Platform.
Assess external data to identify and qualify high-potential startups and unicorns.
Engage with startups and unicorns to prioritize the right sales motion.
Build strategic partnerships with unicorns to accelerate their growth and build new solutions.
Envision new industry scenarios and business models with unicorns.
Drive technical alignment with virtual technical teams.
Develop and oversee account plans to meet revenue targets and customer outcomes.
Advocate on behalf of the customer internally.
Consistently achieve growth in revenue and market share by leading extended virtual teams.
Build and maintain strong knowledge of customers’ industry, business strategy, and key partners and solutions.

Requirements

Experience selling into VC-backed startups / scaleups
Track record of landing net-new logos
Track record of driving strategic cloud or platform deals
Understanding of AI/ML workloads
Understanding of startup funding cycles
Understanding of growth-stage company challenges
A background of consistently delivering results in account management/sales experience OR equivalent
Comfort with doing Business Development in the Digital Natives, Start-ups & Scale-ups space
