About the Role

RCA Ambulance is seeking experienced automotive professionals for a hands-on maintenance and repair role at our Brooklyn office. This position focuses on preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs for our fleet of gas vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on company fleet vehicles (Ford gas vehicles) including wheelchair vans, ambulances, and response vehicles.
• Perform preventative maintenance in a timely manner to reduce breakdowns and costs.
• Update managers on concerns and potential problems with employees or equipment.
• Inform operations of any equipment that needs to be restocked or replaced.
• Maintain a pleasant and professional cooperative attitude with co-workers, departments, and clients.
• Report to work at the appointed hour, as scheduled, and work the entire assigned schedule.
• Be accountable for all work within the assigned job.
• Enhance the operations department's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Auto repair/maintenance experience with gas vehicles.
• Mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have four years of driving experience.
• Must be a self-starter.
