About the Role

Lead the strategy and roadmap for Wattpad's data platform and product intelligence capabilities, building the platform that enables products to make smarter decisions. Partner with Data Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, and Product Managers to transform raw product events into reusable data products, trusted metrics, decision-ready insights, and an intelligent platform service. Your work will shape how products understand readers, measure success, personalize experiences, run experiments, and make real-time decisions, powering the next generation of Wattpad.

Responsibilities

Define the vision and roadmap for Wattpad's data platform
Own the long-term strategy for systems that transform raw product events into reusable, trusted capabilities
Develop and prioritize the roadmap across reusable data products, insights layer, decisioning platform, and data governance and discoverability
Define the strategy and roadmap for Wattpad's Product Intelligence Platform
Build platform capabilities that transform raw data into trusted, reusable intelligence
Work with Content teams to deepen content intelligence
Partner with Engineering, Analytics, and Data Science to create scalable foundations for personalization, recommendations, and product decisioning
Establish trusted metrics, shared data definitions, and governance practices
Turn recurring product needs into reusable platform capabilities
Balance long-term platform investments with near-term business priorities
Influence product and technical strategy across the organization

Requirements

7+ years of Product Management experience, with experience owning platform, infrastructure, developer, AI, or data products
Strong understanding of modern data architectures including event pipelines, data products, warehouses, semantic layers, metrics stores, feature stores, and APIs
Experience working closely with Data Engineering, Analytics, and Software Engineering teams
Experience defining product strategy across multiple stakeholders with competing priorities
Strong systems thinking with the ability to identify reusable platform capabilities instead of one-off solutions
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical and executive audiences
Comfortable making decisions in ambiguous environments while balancing long term platform investments with near term business value
Experience with modern product analytics and experimentation platforms such as Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar tools
