About the Role
The Senior Manager, Store Development & Planning will play a pivotal role within the Marketing and Communications team, reporting directly to the Commercial VP. This role is tasked with executing and promoting excellence across the design & presentation of all POS in the network, leading and coordinating with internal and external partners from feasibility to construction.
Responsibilities
- Analyze potential locations and develop project budgets and timelines.
- Produce design mood boards and support the drawing phase.
- Lead the identification and bidding process for project architects and consultants.
- Work with legal departments on lease exhibits and consultant/contractor contracts.
- Align with internal teams, landlords, and HQ on local codes and design intent.
- Monitor design completion, identify potential savings, and review construction drawings.
- Lead the tender phase and review scope of work with bidding contractors.
- Manage the entire project cycle from conception to close out for approximately 5 retail construction projects annually.
- Coordinate construction between international teams, local teams, consultants, and vendors.
- Manage construction, turnover, and punch list follow-up.
- Track and report project costs, process invoices, and reconcile with finance.
- Procure and coordinate owner-supplied items.
- Maintain accurate status reports and present them in meetings.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in store design, construction management, or a related field.
- In-house store planning experience is preferred.
- Fluent in AutoCAD, Excel, Adobe CS, Microsoft Project, and PowerPoint.
- Deep expertise in construction materials, methods, timelines, costs, and budgets.
- Extensive knowledge of architecture and the ability to read architectural drawings.
- Understanding of building codes, permitting requirements, ADA, energy, and other compliance regulations.
- Ability to review, analyze, understand, and negotiate bids and costs.
- Ability to travel up to 30%.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as required.
- Availability to work a minimum of 4 days per week in the New York office.
