About the Role

Decagon builds agentic AI that resolves customer support conversations end to end. This role owns the infrastructure problem of keeping that system fast, reliable, and secure across multi-tenant cloud and customer environments. You will build platforms and abstractions for product teams and architect/operate deployments within enterprise customer clouds, focusing on security, compliance, and operational rigor.

Responsibilities

  • Build the platform: Design development and production platforms, and abstractions over cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and networking.
  • Ensure scalability to the next order of magnitude as usage grows.
  • Own enterprise deployments: Take end-to-end ownership of deployment architecture in customer-owned cloud environments and manage the full lifecycle.
  • Build runbooks and automation for repeatable deployments.
  • Keep agentic workloads reliable: Treat monitoring, alerting, and rollback as first-class citizens.
  • Own the reliability of systems AI agents depend on in production.
  • Partner across boundaries: Work with customer platform, security, and DevOps teams, and with Decagon's Product, Security, Sales, and Customer Success teams.

Requirements

  • 4+ years building and operating core infrastructure, platform engineering, or infrastructure/DevOps.
  • Ideally some customer-facing deployment experience.
  • Deep experience with a major cloud provider (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
  • Experience with Terraform and Kubernetes at scale.
  • Strong grasp of cloud networking fundamentals (VPCs, IAM, DNS, load balancing).
  • Track record operating production systems reliably: monitoring, on-call, incident response, and reasoning about failure modes.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity across a range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to turn conversations into actionable plans.
  • Clear technical writing skills.
  • Track record of driving adoption across teams.
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving environment with rapid change.
