About the Role

Performs radiographic exams to assist in the diagnosis of disease and injuries. Works effectively with patients and their families, maintaining a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental personnel. Ensures compliance and confidentiality while promoting the organization's mission and philosophy.

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic X-ray procedures, including patient positioning, equipment setting adjustments for optimal imaging, and determining proper voltage and exposure.
  • Quality control images after they are taken.
  • Provides appropriate patient protection following prescribed safety standards.
  • Notifies supervisor of equipment repair needs.
  • Maintains compliance with Texas Medical Board and ARRT educational requirements.
  • Adheres to all company policies, including OSHA, HIPAA, compliance, and Code of Conduct.
  • Maintains regular and dependable attendance.
  • Follows the core competencies set forth by the Company.
  • Works holiday shifts as required by company policy.
  • Maintains work area.
  • Stocks room supplies.
  • Attends required meetings and in-services.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a program in Radiologic Technology that meets the requirements for Texas certification of Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA-approved school.
  • At least one year of related work experience preferred.
  • Experience in digital radiography preferred (CR and /or DR).
  • Familiarity with PACS image retrieval and storage.
  • Experience working with all age groups.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Technologist through the Texas Medical Board.
  • Radiological Technologist must be in good standing with American Registry of Radiological Technologist.
  • Current AHA approved Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course completion card or within 60 days of hire required.
