About the Role
Swedish Hill, a winery with four decades of experience producing award-winning wines, is seeking an ambitious and dynamic winemaker to contribute to its legacy. This role offers variety in producing still, sparkling, and dessert wines, hard ciders, and aperitifs from vinifera and hybrid grapes.
Responsibilities
- Join, direct, and learn from an experienced cellar and vineyard team
- Represent the winery within the Finger Lakes winemaking community
- Produce world-class wines from a wide array of vinifera and hybrid grapes
- Experiment with fresh ideas in winemaking
Requirements
- Track record of cool-climate winemaking success
- Wide open mind
- Solid technical winemaking abilities
- Organized and focused with the ability to multi-task
- Experience with custom crush operations is a bonus
