About the Role
This role leads overall information technology architecture planning, including infrastructure strategy, architectural direction, and technology standards to achieve business outcomes. The position focuses on Gas Realtime systems and Security, working with IT and business leaders to leverage technology for enhanced business objectives and customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Build and grow talent in the solution architecture discipline.
- Lead highly technical teams to achieve business outcomes.
- Champion the value of architecture and communicate across the organization.
- Manage portfolio IT roadmaps, designs, and technology direction.
- Collaborate with other architects on strategy alignment across portfolios and enterprise.
- Work on highly complex projects requiring in-depth knowledge across multiple technical areas.
- Onboard and manage team members, including solution design, modeling, and quality review.
- Analyze current architecture to identify weaknesses, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Assist Enterprise Architecture in developing and communicating architectural policies and standards.
- Develop and present materials on current and future architecture trends.
- Coordinate with PMO, Portfolio Managers, and Product Centers on project planning.
- Support the portfolio and assist on complex troubleshooting.
- Respond to emergency situations and storm assignments as required.
Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Ability to work in the office at least three days per week, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
- Ability to work up to five days in the office if needed for business requirements.
- Understanding of the difference between Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT).
- Understanding of Gas Distribution and/or Gas Storage SCADA software capability.
- Strong business acumen and big-picture thinking.
- Experience working with leadership and leading a team.
- Experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution.
- Track record of leading and delivering cost-effective solutions.
- Experience managing vendor relationships, performance, and SLA adherence.
- Must be available to travel between MA, CT, and NH as necessary.
