About the Role

As a Field Safety Coordinator, you will serve as the primary safety resource on assigned job sites, partnering with project managers, foremen, and field personnel to ensure work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily jobsite inspections, safety audits, and behavioral observations.
  • Identify hazards and work with project teams to implement practical solutions.
  • Lead new hire orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training.
  • Coach employees and supervisors to reinforce safe work practices.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and property damage events, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
  • Assist with Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), risk assessments, and safety planning.
  • Monitor compliance with PPE requirements and company safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inspection reports, training records, and safety documentation.
  • Partner with project teams to integrate safety into daily planning and execution.
  • Promote Hohl's safety culture through leadership, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Support emergency response activities as needed.
  • Stay current on OSHA regulations and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of construction, industrial, utility, or related safety experience
  • OSHA 510 Certification required
  • Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic safety reporting systems
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to project sites throughout Western New York

Skills

  • OSHA 500 preferred
  • CHST, OHST, CSM, or other safety certifications are a plus
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
