About the Role
Wispr Flow is seeking a hands-on player and coach to build and lead the team that will scale the company from 80 to 250 people by the end of the year. This critical role involves personally sourcing and closing senior candidates, hiring and leading a recruiting team, and partnering with leadership on all critical hires. The ideal candidate will be a genuine power user of Wispr's product and will shape the company's employer brand and candidate experience.
Responsibilities
- Personally source, pitch, and close senior candidates.
- Build the talent organization from first principles.
- Hire and lead an exceptional recruiting team.
- Instrument the hiring pipeline using data and metrics.
- Coach hiring managers to be effective interviewers and closers.
- Craft an exceptional candidate experience.
- Partner with the executive team on employer brand initiatives.
- Design creative and competitive offers.
- Push back on hiring managers and founders when candidates are not exceptional.
Requirements
- Ability to articulate the difference between a strong and exceptional hire.
- Perceptiveness about candidate motivations.
- Ability to sell with empathy and credibility across different candidate profiles.
- Proven track record of improbable closes and creative offer strategies.
- Experience scaling hiring through hypergrowth phases.
- Ability to make hiring managers better interviewers.
- Understanding of employer brand as a compounding asset.
- Willingness to be a genuine power user of the Wispr Flow product.
