About the Role

CBX Solutions is seeking an Audiovisual (AV) Systems Installer to be responsible for the setup and operation of basic and large-scale audiovisual systems. This role involves designing, installing, testing, and maintaining AV systems, ensuring functionality and providing project oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Design, plan and install AV systems.
  • Provide AV installation project oversight and updates.
  • Inventory AV devices and materials intended for installation.
  • Test and verify functionality of newly installed AV systems.
  • Perform AV system maintenance and repair as needed.
  • Other relative duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • OSHA 30
  • CTS-I
  • Must possess at least a high school diploma or GED equivalency
  • Formal education in electronics or a related field preferred
  • Excellent experience with audiovisual or other electro-mechanical installation techniques, or field servicing
  • Experience working in public places (schools, city/state offices, etc.)
  • Industry certifications (Panduit, Systimax, BICSI, etc.)
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to track and document red line drawings.
  • Proficient in Plan Grid and other construction related software.
  • Knowing and willingness to push back on other trades in an effective and professional level.
  • Ability to resolve conflict both internal and external.
  • Ability to create a team atmosphere
  • This position requires physical activity consistent with a construction or installation environment.
  • The employee will spend more than two-thirds of their time standing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, using hands to handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms.
  • Approximately one-third of the time may be spent walking and engaging in verbal communication or listening.
  • Frequent lifting and moving of materials weighing between 25 and 50 pounds is required.
  • This role may involve travel to project sites and exposure to a variety of environmental conditions.
  • These may include outdoor weather, proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery, and the use of hand tools or hardware.
  • Employees may be subject to frequent heavy lifting and other physical demands typical of a construction or warehouse environment.

Skills

  • Proven ability to lead both small and large groups of other technicians
  • Proven ability to effectively organize project communications, deliverables, and workflow
  • Organization of all project communication and documentation produced during project.
  • Organization and documentation of all project material and deliverables created as part of the project
  • Organization and monitoring of project milestones to assist in proper schedule management
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Communication with PM on manpower and material needs
  • Communication with clients/customers
  • Communication with other trades on jobsite
  • Ability to monitor project schedule and milestones and provide progress updates as needed
  • Attendance of internal and external project meetings both in person and virtually
  • Familiarity with MS office suite and other software suites applicable to the role including but not limited to: MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, Bluebeam
  • Advanced industry/manufacturer certifications/trainings, examples include: Forte Trainings, Audinate/Dante Levels 1-3, QSYS Level 2, Crestron 101
  • In depth understanding of audio concepts
  • Audio DSP configuration
  • System tuning
  • SHURE level 2
  • High level troubleshooting of Layer 2 issues: Networking, IP Conflicts, Firewalls, Routing
  • Commissioning and troubleshooting of audio systems.
  • Master level knowledge and performance of tasks
