About the Role

Atoms is seeking a Special Projects Director, Marketing to drive high-leverage growth initiatives. This role involves partnering with Product and Engineering on product-led growth and upsell motions, and leading go-to-market strategies for new partnership launches, operating at the intersection of marketing, product, and business development.

Responsibilities

  • Partner directly with Product and Engineering on product-led growth, shaping onboarding, activation, in-product nudges, and lifecycle triggers.
  • Own upsell and cross-sell motions across the product suite, identifying expansion opportunities and driving cross-product adoption.
  • Drive funnel and conversion improvements across the customer journey by writing hypotheses, scoping experiments, and analyzing results.
  • Lead go-to-market strategy for new partnership launches, defining positioning, target segments, launch sequencing, and success metrics.
  • Build the 0-to-1 motion for each partnership launch, including positioning, messaging, launch plan, sales enablement, website surfaces, lifecycle campaigns, and measurement framework.
  • Develop a quantitative experimentation roadmap with clear hypotheses, prioritization, and a cadence that compounds learning.
  • Build measurement infrastructure for leadership confidence in growth decisions, including funnel reporting, cohort analysis, and experiment readouts.
  • Identify and lead high-leverage special projects outside the standard roadmap, such as segment expansions and pricing/packaging changes.
  • Partner with Performance Marketing, Brand, and Sales for full-funnel alignment.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to leadership on growth strategy, PLG vs. sales-assisted motions, and sequencing of product and partnership bets.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in growth marketing, growth product, or product-led growth roles, with experience leading product or partnership launches.
  • Operator experience in a $50M+ ARR environment (SaaS, marketplace, or high-growth product company), ideally with SMB or operator-facing products.
  • Proven cross-functional execution with engineering and product, capable of writing briefs engineers can build from.
  • Concrete track record of shipping growth experiments with measurable results.
  • Experience leading at least one significant GTM launch (product or partnership) end-to-end.
  • Strong technical fluency, comfortable in SQL, Mixpanel/Amplitude, and modern growth tooling.
  • Strong product and commercial instincts, able to push back on Product and BD when necessary.
  • Comfortable in a high-growth, high-ambiguity environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and present to senior stakeholders.
  • Bonus: experience with PLG motions in SMB software, lifecycle marketing, or co-marketing with strategic partners.
