About the Role

The Senior Accountant utilizes hands-on accounting experience and an in-depth understanding of accounting principles and company practices to perform complex accounting activities and financial analyses.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex accounting activities, such as 842 and 606 analyses, in accordance with accounting principles and standards to control financial resources and ensure compliance with regulations, laws, and reporting requirements.
• Reconciles complex accounts and verifies the accuracy of journal entries to ensure the general ledger is accurate and complete, including accruals, leases, and derivatives.
• Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including account and bank reconciliations, financial statement fluctuations, and summary reports for senior management, as well as ad hoc requests.
• Collaborates cross-functionally with operational teams to assist with revenue and expense budgets, understanding financial reports, and managing financial responsibilities.
• Coordinates accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or other departments.
• Assists with internal and external audit requests.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent number of years of experience.
• 3 - 5 years of experience in accounting is required.
• CPA Certification preferred.
• Must be highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data.
• Must be highly skilled in use of Excel Spreadsheets and accounting software preferred.
