About the Role

Oversees the day-to-day activities of the front of house Food & Beverage operations at a multi-venue location. Ensures adherence to policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example, and provides a learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members and guests. Delivers performance reviews for direct reports and participates in the recruitment and hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the front of house F&B operations on a shift basis of a multi-venue location.
  • Assists with the development of performance objectives and delivers performance reviews for direct reports.
  • Schedules and supervises team members, verifies time and attendance, and assigns shift work.
  • Ensures appropriate team member coverage while minimizing operating costs.
  • Completes shift reports for management and tracks quality and guest issues.
  • Assists with the screening and selection of new hires and organizes training progress.
  • Assesses guest alcohol consumption and makes decisions regarding service.
  • Orders front of house supplies and participates in inventory counts.
  • Performs front line F&B duties as required (e.g., Coffee Cart Server, Bartender, Expediter).
  • Offers F&B expertise to internal and external customers.
  • Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments and team members.
  • Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations.
  • Manages other initiatives as required.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or suitable combination of education and experience.
  • 2 years Food & Beverage experience.
  • 2 year's experience in a lead or supervisory role.
  • POS experience.
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective, and service-oriented communication.
  • Computer literacy in MS Office.

Skills

  • WHMIS
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
