About the Role
Oversees the day-to-day activities of the front of house Food & Beverage operations at a multi-venue location. Ensures adherence to policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example, and provides a learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members and guests. Delivers performance reviews for direct reports and participates in the recruitment and hiring process.
Responsibilities
- Oversees the front of house F&B operations on a shift basis of a multi-venue location.
- Assists with the development of performance objectives and delivers performance reviews for direct reports.
- Schedules and supervises team members, verifies time and attendance, and assigns shift work.
- Ensures appropriate team member coverage while minimizing operating costs.
- Completes shift reports for management and tracks quality and guest issues.
- Assists with the screening and selection of new hires and organizes training progress.
- Assesses guest alcohol consumption and makes decisions regarding service.
- Orders front of house supplies and participates in inventory counts.
- Performs front line F&B duties as required (e.g., Coffee Cart Server, Bartender, Expediter).
- Offers F&B expertise to internal and external customers.
- Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments and team members.
- Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders.
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations.
- Manages other initiatives as required.
Requirements
- High School diploma or suitable combination of education and experience.
- 2 years Food & Beverage experience.
- 2 year's experience in a lead or supervisory role.
- POS experience.
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective, and service-oriented communication.
- Computer literacy in MS Office.
