About the Role

Sodexo is looking for a Receiver to join their dynamic team. This position offers a great team environment, work/life balance, and the opportunity to ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Verify and maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Prepare items for shipment.
  • Receive, lift, move, store, sort, weigh, and verify items on delivery notes or invoices.
  • Receive and process the receipt of goods, including stationery supplies, chemicals, electronic equipment, and other materials.
  • Compare incoming and outgoing shipments with delivery notes, invoices, purchase orders, or other documents to ensure compliance.
  • Determine the most efficient method of shipping using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
  • Unpack and examine the receipt of all goods.
  • Return damaged items.
  • Record deficiencies and contact the shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
  • Fill orders, remove supplies from the warehouse, and rotate inventory to ensure freshness.
  • Resolve delivery issues using a computerized accounts payable/purchase system.
  • Assemble and deliver equipment to requested locations.
  • Use the internal inventory tracking system.
  • Prepare goods for distribution, including transportation and storage.
  • Return damaged items or items that do not meet Sodexo specifications to suppliers.
  • Move or transport materials or supplies to other departments as required using manual or industrial carts.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of storage areas by sweeping and mopping.
  • Ensure the safety of the inventory in the warehouse and/or refrigerator/freezer.
  • Comply with all Sodexo, facility, local, state, and federal safety requirements.
  • Attend training programs (classroom and virtual) as needed.
  • Comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Participate in regular safety meetings, safety training, and hazard assessments.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must obtain a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • No previous work experience is necessary.
