About the Role
Sumitomo is looking for a Coating Operator to join our growing team.
Responsibilities
- Operate and set up one or more PVD coating machines to perform machine operations on highly repetitive and standardized parts.
- Keep coating department machinery and mechanical equipment in good repair with technical guidance.
- Follow company standards.
- Communicate production problems with team lead and/or supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic math, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Mechanical aptitude (follow work instructions, use basic hand tools).
- Ability to learn the operation of the coating equipment.
- Ability to work while standing, sitting, bending, and climbing.
- Ability to occasionally work inside of machines.
