About the Role
Sumitomo is looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician to join their team. This role involves keeping plant machinery and mechanical systems in good working order with limited supervision, performing troubleshooting and problem-solving on various manufacturing machines.
Responsibilities
- Examine machines to diagnose issues, dismantle machines, replace defective parts, reassemble machines and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation
- Repair CNC machines and/or robotics
- May occasionally make replacement parts
- Clean filters and general PM on coolant systems and mist collection components
- Change or add oils and lubricants to production equipment
- General cleaning and organization of tools and maintenance area
- May need to provide work training to less experienced maintenance staff
Requirements
- Ability to work under limited supervision with minimal technical guidance
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors
- General knowledge and skill with basic hand tools
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.+
Skills
- Preventive industrial maintenance experience preferred, but not required
- Experience with CNC grinding, machining equipment, or HVAC a plus but not required
