About the Role
Professor BJ Casey is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to join her lab in the Department of Neuroscience & Behavior at Barnard College. Research focuses on situational and social influences on self control, changes in cognitive and emotional regulation during adolescence, and their implications for youth in law and policy. This role offers opportunities to publish work using public access behavioral and imaging data and to mentor undergraduates.
Responsibilities
- Publish independent and collaborative work using public access behavioral and imaging data (e.g., ABCD, HBCD, HCP)
- Mentor and teach undergraduates
Requirements
- PhD in psychology, neuroscience, computer or data science, physics, or physiology
- Brain imaging experience
- Computational/analytic skills
- Proficiency in Python, R, and/or MatLab
- Track record of scientific accomplishment
- Strong interest in cognitive neuroscience
- Computer programming skills
- Experience working with open access data
