About the Role
The Design Manager is responsible for overseeing the work generated by the Design department personnel, managing employees who utilize computer-assisted design software and equipment, and ensuring timely project completion through effective communication with sales, building designers, and customers.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the work originated and generated by personnel within the Design department.
- Manages the work of employees using computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks.
- Communicates with sales, building designers and customers as required to obtain information for timely completion.
- Reviews design work completed by designers prior to production.
- Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Requirements
- Previous managerial experience required.
Experience Level
- 4-6 years of directly related work experience
Education Level
- Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
