About the Role
This is a hands-on role focused on developing high-quality estimates and contributing to the rollout of a broader estimating framework for major transmission and utility infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates across transmission line and substation projects
- Perform quantity take-offs, develop bill of materials, and define scope from drawings and specifications
- Support estimates across all stages, including conceptual (Class 5), intermediate (Class 3), and detailed (Class 1)
- Apply parametric and bottoms-up estimating methodologies
- Develop key documentation including Basis of Estimate (BoE) and estimate narratives
- Support cost analysis, benchmarking, and estimating data improvement
- Collaborate with project teams to align cost, scope, and schedule inputs
- Utilize estimating and takeoff tools (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, InEight, Excel)
Requirements
- 5–10 years’ experience in estimating within transmission, utilities, or infrastructure sectors
- Strong technical understanding of transmission line systems and substations
- Strong technical understanding of electrical components and estimating methodologies
- Experience across pre-construction estimating phases
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Experience working within project controls or integrated delivery teams

Salary/Compensations
- $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
