About the Role

The Associate Director, Digital Operations will be responsible for the day-to-day running of AMRA's Digital Operations function, ensuring the successful delivery of global digital administration services and driving operational excellence. This hands-on leadership role involves owning cross-functional workflows, resolving complex issues, leading process improvement projects, and shaping the future direction of the function.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the day-to-day processing of digital usage data, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Oversee cross-functional operational projects from planning through to delivery.
  • Provide day-to-day operational leadership to project teams, proactively removing blockers.
  • Lead the documentation, mapping, and standardization of end-to-end processing and royalty workflows.
  • Improve communication between Operations, Finance, Technology, and other business functions.
  • Monitor operational performance and key metrics, identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of AMRA's digital data pipelines, operational processes, and reporting workflows.
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, department leaders, and engineering teams.
  • Help establish governance frameworks to improve communication, accountability, and workflow management.

Requirements

  • Experience within a management consultancy, professional services firm, corporate advisory, legal practice, or similar environment, ideally at Manager level or above.
  • A proven track record of delivering complex projects, process improvements, and operational change initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large, complex datasets and translate them into practical business solutions.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical or operational concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • The ability to build trusted relationships across Operations, Finance, Technology, and senior leadership teams.
  • A genuine interest in digital music, licensing, technology, and operational excellence.
  • Experience working within music publishing, digital media, technology, or rights management.
  • Knowledge of digital service providers (DSPs), digital licensing, or royalty administration.
  • Experience implementing governance frameworks, operational controls, or business transformation initiatives.
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the country in which this role is based.

Skills

  • Advanced SQL skills are essential, with experience querying, analysing, and validating large operational datasets.
  • Project Management qualifications such as PMP, Agile, or Scrum.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
