About the Role
Ferguson is seeking an Outbound Dock Loader at our Coxsackie, NY Regional Distribution Center. This role is crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient loading of outbound customer orders, contributing to the company's mission of making complex projects simple, successful, and sustainable.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a dock stocker to load outbound customer orders.
- Utilize technology like RF scanners to pick, sort, scan, and ship orders.
- Wrap, sort, load, and transport pallets and packages.
- Perform general warehouse duties to facilitate the flow of goods.
- Maintain a clean workspace and participate in facility cleanliness and safety initiatives.
- Adhere to Company compliance and Health Safety and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and requirements.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 0-3 years of warehouse experience in shipping, receiving, delivery, or inventory management is preferred, but not required.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Possess a positive demeanor, dependability, and a strong work ethic.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to learn systems quickly and act as a self-starter.
- Maintain continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices.
- Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50lbs regularly.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
