About the Role

Business Engineers are impact-focused, entrepreneurial engineers who apply software engineering skills to blend business and technology expertise, ensuring client success. You will work directly with clients, using deep platform expertise to design solutions and integrate with Meta's platforms across various exciting industries and products. This role is at the intersection of business and innovation, solving real-world challenges through Meta's platforms and community.

Responsibilities

Serve as a trusted technical advisor to Meta's clients, understanding their challenges, helping them integrate with Meta's platforms, and feeding field insights back to Product teams.
Build new products and improve existing ones based on market insights, in collaboration with Meta product engineering teams and cross-functional partners.
Apply deep knowledge of products, technologies, and business to build scalable solutions.
Design and build end-to-end systems and launch-plan strategies.
Guide workflow changes and gain consensus from stakeholders.
Maintain effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
Develop long-term strategic plans with clients, grounded on business objectives, and manage integrations with Meta's platform products.
Build and manage strong working relationships with technical counterparts.
Mentor and share knowledge with peers.
Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Influence decision-making through presentation of data-centric business topics.
Serve as a subject matter expert within Business Engineering and provide consultation on domain-level projects.
Participate in interviewing and onboarding of new team members.

Requirements

3+ years as a software engineer building and shipping production quality code.
Experience with open source languages such as PHP, Python, Java, or JavaScript Frameworks.
Experience writing and shipping reliable, scalable, and efficient code with an emphasis on long-term maintainability.
Experience with software design and architecture.
Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
