About the Role
Key Holders work with the team to ensure smooth operation of the Bakery and provide outstanding customer service and experience. They hold keys and alarm codes to open or close the bakery, relay needs to management, and set a high standard for the team. A food handler card is required.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a commitment to service by prioritizing the guest experience and creating personalized moments.
- Ensure smooth day to day operations during the shift.
- Foster and promote a strong work culture and #MilkBarLife, and uphold brand service standards.
- Fully understand and exhibit the Milk Bar ethos, embody our core values, inspire celebration, and create real magic.
- Serve as a brand ambassador both internally and externally.
- Responsible for the preparation of the most delicious Milk Bar products, always prioritizing taste and quality.
- Knowledgeable with menu offerings & company information and identify opportunities to cross and up-sell.
- Able to relay menu information to customers via phone and in person in a coherent and polite manner.
- Complete daily tasks efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Able to open and close the bakery at the designated times.
- Use resources to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and team members.
- Assist when trainees are being onboarded and set a high bar for their performance.
- Take inventory and replenish stock by using the provided inventory systems.
- Provide accurate EOM counts and documentation.
- Performs other duties as assigned by GM/BM, and AGM.
- Attend regular check-ins with the Manager.
- Comply with DOH regulations and Milk Bar GMP standards when performing cleaning tasks, preparing food and beverages, and working behind the counter.
- Follow company dress code and hygiene practices and standards.
- Adhere to any current and future Covid19 related regulations.
- Execute all menu changes to perfection and ensure they are properly implemented.
- Job duties are subject to change at the Bakery’s discretion.
Requirements
- 1-2 years customer service experience, preferably in the hospitality or food service industry.
- Food handler card required (Food Protection Certificate in NYC).
- Personable and enjoys working with the guests.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems independently and communicate as needed.
- Must be able to safely lift up to 25 lbs and remain in a stationary position for shifts.
- Regular in-person attendance is an essential function and requirement of this position.
