About the Role

As part of our high-tech manufacturing team in Berlin, you will contribute to the production of optical components, assemblies, and systems made of glass, glass ceramics, and ceramics for high-tech small series, single parts, and prototype manufacturing. We develop and produce components for ASML’s EUV and DUV systems, including wafer tables, reticle chucks, and mirror blocks. Our craftsmanship in precision manufacturing, combined with our expertise in optical fabrication technology, makes us the global competence center for optics and wafer chuck technology within ASML.

Responsibilities

Analyze and resolve product issues, implement solutions, and ensure stable product performance in series production.
Understand core processes and functional requirements of your products and process chains.
Implement manufacturing concepts and improve KPIs such as yield, rework, cycle time, and cost.
Review and adjust product specifications in close collaboration with Development & Engineering teams at various locations.
Assess changes and perform risk analyses for your area of responsibility.
Support optimization and NPI projects, develop rework strategies and standardized processes.
Evaluate deviations and damages on components and decide on their further use.
Create work orders for technical changes and trial parts.
Contribute to the creation and maintenance of the reference sample catalog and ensure timely provision of test parts.
Build and maintain a strong network with manufacturing, engineers, project management, and product owners – locally and globally.

Requirements

Hold a degree in natural sciences or engineering, e.g., mechanical engineering, materials science, production technology or have a comparable qualification.
Have initial professional experience in a technical environment, ideally in manufacturing or production.
Understand process chains and their interdependencies as well as core processes including tolerances.
Be familiar with methods such as Six Sigma, SPC, PDCA, and Continuous Improvement and apply them confidently.
Be able to analyze and optimize manufacturing processes with a focus on KPIs such as yield, rework, cycle time, and cost.
Have experience in risk analysis and change management.
Be familiar with SAP for work orders and technical changes.
Speak German and English fluently, enabling collaboration with local and international teams.
Work independently and with strong self-motivation on complex tasks.
Approach challenges in a structured and organized way, even when handling multiple topics.
Be flexible and resilient, keeping an overview in dynamic situations.
Present yourself confidently and make clear decisions.
Communicate openly and clearly – both within the team and across interfaces.
