About the Role

Wells Fargo is seeking an experienced Senior Securities Operations Specialist for the International Securities Settlement Team. This role focuses on overseeing fixed income prematching and ensuring the accurate settlement of international fixed income and equity trades. The team collaborates with global custodians and business partners to manage exceptions like fail management, reconciliations, and corporate actions.

Responsibilities

Assist in lifecycle support for institutional trade flow.
Oversee daily business as usual (BAU) activities, including reviewing and approving trades and asset segregation, and releasing wires.
Review and reconcile global cash and security movements and daily balancing with Global Custodians, including CSDR fees.
Review daily breaks reason and report to the CASS team.
Lead or participate in moderately complex lifecycle initiatives and support tasks, focusing on upcoming market changes like UK & EU T+1 and Repo Triparty.
Identify opportunities for process improvements within Securities Operations and enhance operational efficiency using automation tools.
Review and analyze moderately complex operational tasks or challenges requiring in-depth evaluation.
Independently resolve moderately complex issues within a trade environment, leveraging a solid understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
Manage expertise in securities settlement services, cash payments, customer service, funding operations, claims management, and general ledger reconciliation.
Resolve moderately complex escalated issues within the scope of responsibility in Security Operations.
Exercise independent judgment in understanding trade settlement workflow controls to minimize operational breakdowns.
Lead or contribute to the implementation of projects and new or revised processes and procedures.
Perform analysis for initiatives supporting business strategies, making decisions with financial impact and risk.
Mentor and assist associates and juniors.
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.

Requirements

Experience in CIB Operations, securities settlement, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Solid understanding of securities operations, settlement processes, and global market infrastructure.
Knowledge and expertise on Broadridge Systems - GLOSS/GPTM, IMPACT and BPS.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills.
Solid problem-solving skills.
Experience in team management.
Ability to work independently, proactively, and innovatively, and creatively while exercising sound judgment.
Customer service focus with the ability to capture business needs and recommend solutions.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
