About the Role
Join the Northern Staffing Program to provide essential community health care to Indigenous Peoples in remote northern regions. This role offers the opportunity to expand your clinical expertise and practice in a unique, adventurous environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary and emergency care to residents of all ages in a clinic or nursing station setting
- Perform nursing duties including observation, assessment, diagnosis, counseling, and health teaching
- Implement care plans based on Best Practice Clinical Practice Guidelines
- Manage health promotion, immunizations, IPAC, and communicable disease control
- Ensure the emotional, spiritual, physical comfort, and safety of clients
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current nursing license in good standing
- Willingness to obtain licensure in the specific provinces or territories of assignment
- Meet required work experience standards
