About the Role
My IT Crew is seeking a Director of Solutions Architecture to serve as the technical authority, bridging clients, engineering, service delivery, and leadership. This is a build role focused on designing solutions, evaluating new technologies, and defining the company's technology strategy.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical leader throughout the sales process, leading technical discovery, identifying requirements, and designing secure, scalable solutions.
- Develop solution architectures, scopes of work, implementation plans, and technical proposals.
- Partner with Account Managers to present recommendations and move opportunities forward.
- Join client-facing meetings to ensure technical aspects are clearly communicated and client questions are answered.
- Lead the development and evolution of technical standards for designing, delivering, and supporting client environments.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, recommend strategic vendors, and establish best practices.
- Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, repeatable, and aligned with client needs and company strategy.
- Provide technical guidance, documentation, and architectural oversight for seamless client onboarding and implementation.
- Serve as the senior technical resource for complex client environments and engineering challenges.
- Provide architectural guidance and help identify long-term solutions for significant technical issues.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis for systemic or recurring issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery through emerging technologies, new service offerings, and automation/AI.
- Leverage automation and AI to increase efficiency for the company and clients.
Requirements
- 8+ years in IT infrastructure, consulting, or managed services.
- Strong hands-on expertise in M365, Azure, AD/Entra ID, Networking, Firewalls, Security, Virtualization, Backup/DR, and Endpoint Management.
- Proven success designing and implementing complex solutions.
- Experience with technical escalations and root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Experience engaging with executive leadership.
- Familiarity with AI operations tools, automation platforms (n8n, Power Automate, etc.), or LLM-based workflow integration.
