About the Role
Take on a new challenge and bring your customer service and operational expertise to a dynamic and safety-focused environment. You’ll be the face of the AirTrain system, ensuring a safe, smooth, and efficient experience for all passengers. You’ll specifically take care of customer assistance, train fault troubleshooting, and fare collection support—but also emergency response, crowd control, and minor custodial duties.
Responsibilities
- Delivering excellent customer service on trains and in stations
- Managing service disruptions and supporting train recovery
- Responding to emergencies and assisting with customer evacuations
- Inspecting and troubleshooting station and train equipment
- Supporting fare collection and documenting operational activities
- Operating trains for repositioning and manual movements
- Performing minor custodial tasks with appropriate PPE
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in customer service preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Comfortable making independent decisions within guidelines
- Familiarity with troubleshooting minor mechanical or electrical issues
- Willingness to work variable hours and locations across the AirTrain system
- Physically able to board/alight trains and stand for extended periods
