About the Role
The Job Developer role is crucial to CEO's mission of helping individuals returning from incarceration regain skills and confidence for successful transitions to stable and productive lives. This role involves increasing employment opportunities for participants by matching their interests and ambitions with employer needs, and cultivating new employer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Envision, develop, and implement a strategic plan for placement services to meet participant placement metrics.
- Conduct regular reviews of existing CEO business partnerships, evaluate employer demand, and identify areas for improvement.
- Achieve weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual placement goals.
- Research, outreach to, and build relationships with prospective employers willing to hire CEO participants.
- Maintain relationships with existing employer partners.
- Schedule and conduct daily prospecting, cold calls, and face-to-face meetings.
- Serve as the liaison among employers, participants, and criminal justice partners.
- Screen and match program participants with employment opportunities based on skills, experience, interests, and goals.
- Customize participants' resumes to fit identified opportunities.
- Manage a caseload of participants, providing support and coaching for job applications and the hiring process.
- Document all participant and employer contact, activities, and outcomes in the case management system (Salesforce).
- Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience in workforce development, recruitment, or sales/account management with a history of meeting performance goals.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Ability to adjust communication style to different personalities and interaction styles.
- Resilience and persistence in overcoming challenges.
- Comfort working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to use data and market research to guide practice and decision-making.
