About the Role

As an ABAP Developer with industry knowledge in the energy sector, you will work in a dynamic environment shaped by current innovations and regulatory changes. Your focus will be on the market communication system SAP IS-U, specifically in market processes, where you will be responsible for development, testing, and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Analysis and implementation of market-specific processes and legal requirements, focusing on market communication (switching processes).
• Creation of solution concepts, development of ABAP programs, and SAP Business Workflows for realization.
• SAP IS-U Customizing (e.g., IDE-Intercompany Data Exchange).
• Troubleshooting and maintenance of implemented solutions based on existing Service Level Agreements.
• Proactive consultation of customers regarding necessary technical or functional adjustments.

Requirements

• Ability to program complex technical, legal, regulatory, and market-specific requirements in SAP IS-U and perform system adjustments.
• Knowledge of existing SAP enhancement technologies and their purposeful and sustainable application.
• Ability to conceptually describe complex issues understandably and document them comprehensibly.
• Completed university/university of applied sciences degree, preferably in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or Business Administration (or comparable knowledge or relevant professional experience).
• Several years of practical experience in the field of (supplier) switching processes in the energy industry.
• Very good knowledge of current developments and requirements in the German deregulated energy market (electricity and gas).
• Several years of practical experience with ABAP-OO programming and SAP Business Workflow in SAP IS-U.
• Experience in IS-U Customizing (esp. component IDE – Intercompany Data Exchange).
• Ideally, knowledge in SAP IDEX components, SAP IS-U/CRM integration, SQL, ALE and Idoc development, interface and framework development, SAP enhancement technologies, SAP master data generator, MS Visio.
• Experience in S4/HANA, S4/Utilities is a plus.
• Very, very good German language skills, both written and spoken.
